Happy March, Nils!
Spring is around the corner, time is changing and the ground is soaked! I hope your March is treating you well and that you find the time to enjoy the green hills the upcoming flowers that will be blooming.

Due to some infrastructure work at Alta Vista Community center, my normal community meeting date has been moved, as previsouly talked about, to Saturday March 16th (next weekend).   Same time, 9:30am – 11:30am.

NEW Date: Saturday March 16th, 9:30am

We have coffee, tea, water and small bites for all who show up to the community meeting.

 

Mayor Brand Memorial

We had an impressive showing at the Memorial for Mayor Bill Brand.  I posted my speech online, here.  You can can watch the entire event, which was recorded and live-streamed via the City Facebook page, here.

 

Some quick updates for you to know about:

I went on a tour of the State Water Project last week.  The tour was amazing, seeing first hand how we move water form the far reaches of Northern Califronia, to your households here in Redondo.  There are plenty of pictures, stories, facts and information that you dont want to miss. All of this was envisioned and built in the 1960’s. The engineering, the maintenance and system is something that we take for granted, but can’t lvie without.

Find out about the Sacramento Delta, the tunnels, the Oroville spillway, reservoirs, pumping stations, farms, storage and the legal portion.

In short: Water is Power.

Monthly Meetings
As a reminder, my in-person community meeting is always held on the 2nd Saturday of each month, 9:30 AM – 11:30 AM, unless canceled.

Online meetings are held on the Zoom platform and live-streamed to Facebook where viewers can ask questions via chat, but not participate directly.
