Measure FP Bond Debate

Measure FP Bond Debate

Sonesta Hotel

Measure FP is a $93.3 million general obligation bond designed to rebuild Redondo Beach’s fire and police stations. This measure will be on the November 5, 2024 ballot. The funds will be used to replace Fire Station 1, Fire Station 2, and the Police Headquarters, as well as renovate the Police Annex.

Supporters argue that Measure FP is crucial for ensuring public safety and keeping up with the growing demands of the community. Opponents, however, are concerned about the financial impact on taxpayers, with the bond costing approximately $17.45 – $28.00 per $100,000 of assessed property value.
